Rothko Box

Inspired by the Rothko Chapel, this work was conceived to provide an intimate and solitary experience. The participant must put on headphones and interact with a box full of buttons, revealing a tension between expectation and absence. Experiencing only once, and in absolute silence, this box offers no answers or external stimuli. Silence occupies the entire space of the experience. Just as in Rothko's painting, the essential element is not in the object, but rather within the person experiencing it.
